Since 1996, Noorderlicht has established itself as the Dutch festival for international photography.
I am happy to participate in PULSE, one of the major exhibitions which focusses on photography that is “a dive below the surface”. Thank you Wim Melis & Hester Keijser for putting this exhibition together and to describe what connects the works of 15 artists: “What we encounter in the work is someone looking back at us, with the kind of gaze that meets you in the mirror, and you’re not quite sure if you are looking at yourself or a stranger…the feeling of throwing yourself into the pool, of sudden cold rushing past your skin, the water entering your mouth, ears, nose, your senses.”
PULSE is also featuring work by:
Martin Bogren, Stephane Charpentier, Boris Eldagsen, Ilias Georgiadis, Rogier ten Hacken, Nicolas Janowski, Katrin Koenning, Helio León, Leonard Pongo, Alisa Resnik, Ronny Sen, Yusuf Sevincli, Magdalena Switek Rebbel, Munemasa Takahashi, Gihan Tubbeh.
The festival takes place from August 22 through October 11 in the city of Groningen, Netherlands.
