HUNGER
Vanitas Symbols for the Future
38 images of various sizes, AI-generated (Stable Diffusion) and further edited, 2022
This work consists of two parts that originated together and ideally (as here) are shown together.
HAUNTING STILL-LIFES (HUNGER I)
Hunting still-lifes of old Dutch painting, projected into a post-apocalyptic future. The prey of a hunt becomes a haunting Memento Mori.
PORNOGRAPHY FOR MUTANTS (HUNGER II)
Combines an apocalyptic body meltdown with attractively repulsive scenes. Set between Dionysian art, Hieronymus Bosch, Hans Bellmer and David Cronenberg.
